Patricia Ann Massie (1961-2016)

ALBA– Services for Patricia Ann Massie, 55, of Alba, were scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Cottonwood Assembly of God Church, Golden, with Bro. Otis Lee officiating.
Burial was held in Pilgrim Rest #1 Cemetery, Emory, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Ms. Massie passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.
She was born Monday, April 24, 1961, in Greenville, to the late Billy Roy Slatter and Doris Ann Wolfe. Patricia lived most of her life in Wood County and was a nurse for twenty years.
Survivors include her son, Jarred and wife Ashley Massie of Golden; daughter, April and husband David Lewers of Golden; sister, Vickie and husband Michael Smith of Emory; five grandchildren, Kayden, Braelyn, Addisyn, Landry, and Joecey; nieces, Carli Winkler and Cemi Weatherford; nephews, David Smith and Douglas Smith; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Roy Slatter; mother, Doris Ann Watson; grandparents, Eugene Wolfe and Alice Sissel and Fred and Dorthy Slatter.
Pallbearers were Gerry Massie, Terry Massie, Kelly Massie, David Lewers, Michael Smith, and Billy Ray Wells.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Crenshaw, Roger Gaby, Jerry Robinson, and Johnny Mack Morgan.
Donations given to the family will go to Lilly’s Fight. Lilly is a 6 year old Alba-Golden student who is battling Leukemia.
Family visitation was Saturday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
