Benefit for Eduardo Chavez Hosted by Richies by the Sea

Richie’s By the Sea will be hosting first annual Thanksgiving benefit this year on November 23, 2017. Will have a free Thanksgiving lunch for the community from 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM. "We would like to invite you to come join us in this beautiful tradition of bringing together the community for a good cause."

All donations given will be going to the family of Eduardo Chavez, a 7th grader at Grand Saline Middle School. He was diagnosed with leukemia on December 16th, 2016. Over the past year, his family has had to make multiple trips to the Children’s Hospital in Dallas. Recently, he had a major setback, going into cardiac arrest on Friday, November 10th. Last update was, Eduardo was in an induced coma, with a decrease functioning in intestines and lungs. Eduardo has a sister at Grand Saline High School named Anna Chavez, as well as brother named Leonel Chavez at Grand Saline Intermediate School. With a family to take care of here in Grand Saline, his parents are having to rotate their stay with Eduardo. Along with the emotional and physical hardship, it also causes financial stress. And although we cannot take away the pain and stress of what this family is going through, we are able to help with the financial burden.
