Services for Mrs. Lori Denise Carnes, 46, Fruitvale, were scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. David Hellwig and Bro. Donny Sadler officiating.

Interment was held in Woodside Cemetery.

Mrs. Carnes passed away December 25, 2020, at her home. She was born June 15, 1974, in Tyler, to Elvis Glenn & Micah Jean Murphy Sessions. Lori spent her early years in New Summerfield, where she graduated from New Summerfield High School, Class of 1992. She later obtained a paralegal degree and also furthered her education as a Respiratory Therapist. She had lived in Ponta and then the last 6 years in Grand Saline. Lori was a member of First Baptist Church of New Summerfield and Seven Oaks Baptist Church in Wills Point. She was preceded in death by her father, Elvis Glenn “Patty” Sessions.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Dee Carnes of Fruitvale; mother, Micah Sessions of New Summerfield; mother-in-law, Kay Flowers of Grand Saline; father-in-law, Gerald Carnes of Grand Saline; two sons, Roy Dakota Carnes of Fruitvale, and Lane Dee Carnes of Fruitvale; daughter, Leah Renee Foster and husband Jacob of Kittery, Maine; sister, Amy Renee Fickey and fiancé Jason Oliveaux of Bullard; sister-in-law, Candace Carnes of Euless; four nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Matt Means, Dewey Meroney, Buddy Lambert, Dalton Vail, Kenny Fickey, and Michael Murphy.

The family received friends 1 hour prior to services on Sunday, at the funeral home.
