Lady Indians Finish District and Head to Playoffs

GRAND SALINE--Grand Saline defeated Commerce by a score of 12-2 Tuesday, on a night they honored all six of their seniors. In the circle for the Lady Indians was Kinlee Rumfield who pitched all 5 innings, had 11 strikeouts and no earned runs. Leading the way offensively for the Tribe was Senior Maeghan Block with a triple and a single, one RBI, one run scored, and one stolen base. Andie Houser also hit a triple and a single with one RBI. Alyssa Lovette had two hits, one RBI, two runs scored. Hailey Darby had one hit, 3 RBIs, one run scored. Addi Fisher one RBI and two runs scored. Gabbie Lewis one RBI. Marti Lewis had 3 runs scored and one stolen base. Hannah Aaron had one run scored and one stolen base. Kara Wilson one run scored. Bekah Harrington one run scored.
The Lady Indians finished up district with an overall record of 18-7 and 8-4 in district heading into the playoffs.
