Current Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Van Zandt County 06/24/21
Van Zandt County, Texas (June 21, 2021) – The Northeast Texas Public Health District has received confirmation of seven positive cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Van Zandt County between June 15-June 21, 2021, bringing the total to two thousand seven hundred forty two (2742). All confirmed cases are currently at home in isolation. Four cases are located in the County with Wills Point addresses, two cases are located within the city limits of Canton and one case is located in the County with a Grand Saline address. There are currently 2647 recovered cases, 38 active cases and 57 deaths in Van Zandt County reported by the Northeast Texas Public Health District.
The Northeast Texas Public Health District is now required by the Department of State Health Services to report probable cases. Persons with positive antigen test are considered probable cases. Probable cases are not counted in our active cases above. There were four new probable cases reported by the Northeast Texas Public Health District between June 15-June 21, 2021, bringing the total at 1705. 39 are active, 1651 are recovered, and 15 deaths
